CORVALLIS — Fourth-ranked La Grande outscored No. 6 Phoenix 20-10 in the fourth quarter for a 58-52 victory in an OSAA Class 4A boys semifinal game Friday at Gill Coliseum.
Kevin Attila had 19 points, four rebounds and four assists for La Grande (17-9), which will play in today's title game against Central.
Tyler Dungannon had 17 points and Skyler Reagan 15 points for Phoenix (22-6).
Central 55, Marist 27: Jesse Peters had 10 points and 14 rebounds as No. 3 Central (26-3) dominated eighth-ranked Marist (17-10).
Class 4A Girls
Marist 45, Central 37: Allie Rogers had 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead No. 2 Marist (19-8) to a win against No. 6 Central (22-5) in the semifinals.
Cottage Grove 52, La Pine 40: The top-ranked Lions (25-2) outscored the Hawks (20-10) 32-14 in the first half and held on for the win. Madison McClung had 13 points for the Lions, who beat North Bend in overtime in the quarterfinals.
Class 5A Boys
Jefferson 83, Silverton 57: Terrence Jones scored 23 points and Antoine Hosley added 21 for Jefferson as the top-ranked Democrats (25-2) advanced to the championship game for the third straight season by beating No. 4 Silverton (24-3) in the semifinals at Mac Court.
Mountain View 38, Crescent Valley 33: Seth Brent scored 10 points and James Reid made the go-ahead free throws as No. 3 Mountain View (26-1) beat Crescent Valley (18-10).
Class 5A Girls
Wilsonville 55, Ashland 39: Kellie Krueger scored 16 points and Ashley Walters had 15 points to lead No. 2 Wilsonville (23-4) past No. 3 Ashland (23-6) in the semifinals.
Allison Gida led the Grizzlies with 13 points.
Jefferson 62, Crater 57, OT: Jefferson's Jhazmine Smith made three free throws in the final seconds of regulation then added five more in overtime as the top-ranked Democrats (18-2) denied No. 10 Crater's upset bid.
Katie Powell scored 26 for the Comets (20-7), including 10 in the final 2:31 of regulation as Crater rallied from a 47-40 deficit.
Class 6A Boys
Jesuit 66, Lincoln 41: Senior Stephen Holt led top-ranked Jesuit with 10 points and 10 assists as the Crusaders (25-2) advanced to the Class 6A Boys state final by beating No. 4 Lincoln (21-7) at the Rose Garden.
Westview 56, South Eugene 53: Garrett Jackson scored 15 points, including a pair of free throws with less than 10 seconds left, and second-ranked Westview (25-3) advanced to the state championship game with a victory over No. 5 South Eugene (20-7).
Class 6A Girls
Jesuit 61, South Eugene 46: Elizabeth Brenner led fourth-ranked Jesuit with 25 points and 12 rebounds as the Crusaders (22-6) defeated No. 2 South Eugene (25-4) to advance to the final.
Southridge 55, Oregon City 47: Allison Greene had 13 points and nine rebounds as No. 3 Southridge (25-2) rallied in the fourth quarter to beat top-ranked Oregon City (27-1).
The defending state champion Pioneers lost for the first time to a school from Oregon since falling to Southridge in the 2008 state final.
