New Carissa July 2008
Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski and his staff visit the New Carissa on Friday, July 18, 2008. Titan Salvage crews were still in the process of removing metal and ship structure from the wreck. By Tuesday, July 29, crews had heavy anchor chains attached to the ship and were preparing to start pulling it out of the sand.
