- The South Coast's northernmost school district is the Siuslaw School District in Florence. The district operates an elementary school, middle school and high school. Its superintendent is gerald Hamilton and the administrative offices are located at 2111 Oak St., available by calling (541) 997-2651.
- In Douglas County, the Reedsport School District's administration offices are located at 100 Ranch Road. The district operates Highland Elementary School and Reedsport Junior/Senior High School. The superintendent is Forrest Bell and the district offices can be reached at (541) 271-3656.
- North Bend School District has two elementary schools, a middle school, a technology school and a high school. The district's superintendent is Dr. BJ Hollensteiner, whose office is located at 1913 Meade st. The phone number is 756-2521.
A district-run charter school, the Oregon Coast Technology School, provides a technology and computer based education for students in grades seven through 12. The Lighthouse School, a charter school that will offer kindergarten through eighth grade, is located at the same location as North Bay Elementary, 93670 Viking Lane. - Coos County's largest district is Coos Bay, which includes three elementary schools, a 5-6 intermediate school, a 7-8 middle school and a high school. The district also hosts the Resource Link online charter school, based at the Harding Building on the Marshfield High School campus, located at the corner of 10th Street and Ingersoll Avenue.

- The nearby Myrtle Point School District offers a somewhat different configuration of classes and schools than other districts in the county. Students in grades 1 through 6 attend Myrtle Crest School. Seventh through 12th grades attend Myrtle Point Junior/Senior High School. The district superintendent is Kent Klewitz. - Coos County's tiniest, Powers School District manages one elementary school and one high school. THe superintendent is Matt Shorb. The district can be reached by calling 439-2291.
- The Bandon School District manages three shcool: Ocean Crest Elementary, Harbor Lights Middle School and Bandon High School. Its superintendent is Diane Buche, who can be reached at the district's main office, 455 S.W. Ninth St., or by calling 347-4411.
- Port Orford and Langlois share a school district with two K-8 grade schools and a high school. The superintendent is Ruby Price and the district office is at 45525 Highway 101 in Port Orford. The phone number is (541) 348-2337.
- Heading south, the Central Curry School District in Gold Beach offers a pre-kindergarten program, which can be reached at (541) 247-7941. In addition, there is an elementary school and high school. The superintendent is Jeff Davis and the district office can be reached at (541) 247-6648.
- The South Coast's southernmost district, Brookings-Harbor, includes on elementary school, one middle school and one high school; the district also hosts the Upper Chetco Charter School, and elementary charter school east of Brookings. The district's superintendent is Chris Nichols, and administrative offices are located at 629 Easy St. or by calling (541) 469-7443.
- For those seeking higher-education options, the Coos Bay-based Southwestern Oregon Community College operates campuses in both Coos and Curry counties. The main campus is at 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. Southwestern also sponsors community education programs in outlying towns from Reesport to Lakeside and from Myrtle Poin to Port Orford , as well as collaborative programs with universities for those working on four-year degrees. Southwestern Oregon Community College has expanded its services since it was founded in the 1960s. The Coos Bay-based college offers classes from Reedsport to Brookings and inland to Myrtle Point. The college provides a head-start on a four year degree, helping students to transfer to university programs throughout the state, from a main campus at 1988 Newmark Ave., in Coos Bay; and two stellite campuses in Curry County: 420 Alder St. in Brookings; and 29392 Ellensburg Ave. in Gold Beach. The home of the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute, and anumber of renowned programs and specialties, such as the nursing program and a number of varied disciplines in the liberal arts, technology and more. The site of the only University Center in the state, Southwestern has agreements with most state universities and assists local residents in completing master's or doctoral egrees in many ffields. A gib part of the Bay Area, the college is a gathering place for community classes, meetings and workshops.
