ONLINE ARCHIVES

I need to find a previously published story. Where do I look?
Our archives section maintains a searchable library of stories dating back to 1999. If you know the subject or the headline, enter that into the keyword area of the search. You may also browse the archives by date if you know when the story appeared.

I did a search for a story that I know was in the paper, but I can't find it in the archives. What's wrong?
First, make sure that your search was correct. If your search returns no stories at all, try generalizing the keyword search. Also, try browsing the archives by date. If you still can't find your story, realize that The World generally only archives local stories, so if you're looking for a national story that ran in the paper, it may not be in our library.

I need to research a subject or story that predates the online archive library. What do I do?
Please visit the local public libraries - they will be able to help you in your search.
