Meet the Pirates set for Monday

Marshfield will introduce its winter athletes during Meet the Pirates Night on Monday at the Pirate Palace.
The Pirate Booster Club will be selling hamburgers starting at 5 p.m., with the main program starting at 5:30 when the band performs the national anthem and fight song.
That will be followed by the introductions of the teams and a number of scrimmages and performances.
The freshman and junior varsity girls basketball teams will scrimmage at 5:45 p.m., followed by the varsity players at 6.
The dance team is scheduled to perform at 6:20, with the freshman and JV boys basketball teams scrimmaging at 6:30. The final scrimmage of the night, the varsity boys basketball team, is scheduled to tip off at 6:45.
The winter season starts Tuesday, though the first Marshfield events will be Friday, when the boys basketball team travels to Lebanon and the girls host Coquille. The Pirate swimmers will be in Eugene for the district relays the same day and the wrestling team competes in the Springfield Invitational on Saturday.
