Carl D. Yandell

A funeral will be held for Carl D. Yandell, 77, of Coos Bay, at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, at North Bend Chapel, 2014 McPherson Ave., North Bend, with the Rev. Gary Rice officiating. Visitation will start at 9 a.m., Wednesday until service time. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Carl was born Oct. 30, 1932, in Clarksville, Ark., the son of Hugh and Anna L. (Mickle) Yandell. He died Nov. 19, 2009, in Coos Bay.
Carl attended schools in Clarksville. He moved to Oregon in 1949 seeking employment. He worked for Weyerhaeuser retiring after 26 years. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and target shooting. He served in the Army National Guard.
Carl is survived by his wife, Katherine of Coos Bay; daughter, Susan Cordry and husband, Tom of Portland; son, Donald Johnson and wife, Jeri of North Bend; brother, Argus Yandell and wife, Loreda and their three children of Coos Bay; brother, Archie Yandell and wife, Carol and two children of Arkansas; brother, Tommy Yandell and wife, Neva and their two children of Arkansas; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Trudy Hockema; two brothers; and two sisters.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, Coos County Unit, P.O. Box 1551, Coos Bay, OR 97420.
Arrangements are under the direction of North Bend Chapel, 756-0440.

Kate....Just seen in the Graphic that U Carl passed away..I love you both very much and enjoyed all the times we emailed and visited wil never forget you visit here ....my thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time...
