County plans H1N1 clinic for next week

Coos County Public Health has received a shipment of H1N1 vaccine and will hold a special clinic next week to vaccinate people with chronic health conditions.
The county has about 200 doses that will be available at the North Bend Annex from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. To make an appointment, call 756-2020, ext. 580.
The department wants to target people ages 6 months to 64 years who have chronic health conditions, though they also will make vaccine available to pregnant women, healthcare and emergency personnel and children younger than 5.
Oregon has set up a hotline and online updates to give people more information about influenza. Call (800) 978-3040 for go to http://www.flu.oregon.gov. Coos County Public Health also has information at http://www.co.coos.or.us.
