WHITE CITY (AP) — Jackson County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating what they describe as an unusually violent robbery at a White City restaurant.
Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Colin Fagan says a man entered the Apple Peddler Restaurant late Wednesday carrying a pump-style shotgun and ordering employees to the floor.
A customer playing video lottery in another part of the restaurant slipped out a back door and called 9-1-1, but the robber got away with undisclosed amount of money.
There were no injuries.
Detectives on Thursday collected surveillance video from the 24-hour restaurant and neighboring businesses.
