Hamann new president at Linn-Benton college

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Gregory J. Hamann has been named president of Linn-Benton Community College.
Hamann is currently president of Clatsop Community College in Astoria. He will start at Linn-Benton on Feb. 1, the day after current president Rita Cavin retires.
Hamann has a doctorate in educational leadership from Gonzaga University and a master’s in counseling psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology and social studies at the University of Minnesota.
An avid runner, Hamann and has been known to surf with students and staff at Clatsop.
