A potluck celebration of life service will be held for Jayme Sue Austin, 31, of Fairview at noon, Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Fairview Fire Department, 96775 Fairview Sumner Lane with pastor Paul Wager, of the Fairview Community Church, officiating. Private interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park in Coos Bay.

Jayme was born July 5, 1978, in Coos Bay, the daughter of Rick Austin and Cindy Gisholt. She died Nov. 9, 2009, in Fairview.

She was active in 4-H with horses and was a 1997 graduate of Coquille High School, where she participated in track setting a record in the shot put. Jayme had worked at Oregon Satellite for the past three years. She lived life “balls to the walls” and full bore enjoying four-wheeling in the sand dunes, having a good time and being a mother to her children who were her saviors.

Jayme is survived by her children, Alyson of Coos Bay and Jessica of Fairview; parents, Cindy and Jeff Gisholt of Fairview, Bob Scoville of Coos Bay and Rick and Martha Austin of Central Point; siblings, Alyssa Austin of Fairview, Dani Scoville of North Bend, Garren Gisholt of Eugene, Evan Gisholt of North Bend, Rachel Ridge of Medford, Shana Mason of Boise, Idaho, and Maggie Huntley of Coos Bay; grandparents, Viva Halsey of Salem, Jim Scoville of Coos Bay, Jim Johnson of Fairview and Ray and Dollie Austin of Florence, formerly of Coos Bay; great-grandparents, Red and Georgia Grisham of Fairview; boyfriend, Jesse Rooke of Coos Bay; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Austin Jr.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Jayme Austin Memorial Fund at any local Umpqua Bank.

Arrangements are under the direction of Coos Bay Chapel, 267-3131.
