There were just released 1000s of emails proving that some of the scientists are lying about global warming evidence or flat out making it up , in the legal arena that's called reasonable doubt ; real science does not use consensus it uses facts .

There also are no algae blooms destroying water supplies from Oregon to Guatamala,Ocean Dead Zones, over abundance of Forest Fires (My best friend is a smoke jumper you try and tell HIM that climate change is fake) Oh, there also aren't any beetles destroying acres and acre of forest due to a small incremental change in the temperature. Kilminajaro's ice caps really aren't fully melted and Greenland really isn't actually turning green..

Nope it's all fake all of it brought to you by the commie liberals to try and hurt those poor companies who make billions of dollars a year giving our great great great grand children cancer and 120 degree Novembers.

Gary, Hiram... it is, of course, a horrible thing to want to stop throwing money at the Saudis, to clean up after ourselves, to demand that corporations and other business entities clean up the messes they make, to have unadulterated food and clean water and to leave something worth having for the next handful of generations.

This peer-reviewed study by the American Meteorological Society of the 1970's "cooling consensus" theory is also worth a read. In short, such a consensus never existed. Not even remotely.

The prediction of global cooling was never a scientific consensus in the 70's. There was, however, a small (about 10%), but not insignificant, minority of scientists who held this view. In 1975 Newsweek, and a few other non-scientific, non-peer-reviewed publications, published a story explaining these views. The article did not present the cooling theory as the predominate one, which it was not, simply as a competing theory.

The story relied heavily on a National Academy of Sciences (NAS) report which stated much, much more study was required before the likelihood of either warming or cooling could accurately be predicted. However, the NAS report did warn that CO2 was impacting the atmosphere by creating a warming effect which could possibly mitigate potential future climate cooling. Only two years later in 1977 the NAS issued reports clearly stating that warming was occurring due to CO2 emissions.

ONE scientist from MIT, Richard Lindzen, has become a leading GW skeptic. However, even his views have shifted over the years in the light of new evidence. He does not believe that GW is a hoax. He agrees that it is happening. He also agrees that CO2 released by humans into the atmosphere is contributing to it. His recent contention has been with the accuracy of computer modeling, but he now admits that they have improved in recent years.

His colleagues describe Lindzen as a natural contrarian, and those who work with him say he agrees with about 90% of what climate scientists are saying. Read about it here:

Granted there is a handful of scientists who dispute some aspects of anthropogenic global warming, but its size is minuscule and shrinking daily. The overwhelming majority of scientists and scientific organizations all concur: AGW is happening and its consequences will be dire.

This is no hoax and I am not joking. (Neither do I hold an MD for what it's worth.)

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (150 years old and 127,000 members with PhDs), The National Academies of Sciences of 32 countries (including the US), over 40 scientific organizations (including the American Association of Petroleum Geologists), the US Climate Action Partnership (a coalition of corporations including BP, Alcoa, Dupont, Conoco, Shell, Ford, GM, and dozens of others), ExxonMobil, the Pentagon, Pres. Bush's EPA, Dick Cheney all say the same thing -- Global warming is real, human activity is causing it, and its consequences will be dire.

There is literally no remaining scientific body of national or international standing left to reject the basic findings of human influence on recent climate change. None.

Gary, you should heed the words of renowned global warming denier Dr. Patrick Michaels, "Global warming is real and the second warming of the twentieth century, people have something to do with it. Now, get over it."

Is this a joke? Surely a MD like Mr. McKelvey couldn't believe this rhetoric. It's humorous that "climate change" has replaced "global warming" now that scientists from MIT and elsewhere have proven that global warming not only is not man-made but isn't even happening. This is the biggest hoax in the history of mankind, and shame on Mr. McKelvey for perpetuating a lie this big.

I love it, the old global warming farce raises it's ugly head once more. When will you people realize there is no man made global warming. Oh it is true the earth is going to burn up when the time comes but not from global warming and that is not all that far away. Enjoy until it does.......
