A memorial service with military honors will take place for Bobby Ray Owens, 66, of Bandon at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Bandon VFW Hall.
Bobby was born Feb. 3, 1943, in Middlesboro, Ky., the son of James and Martha Bea Owens. He died Nov. 6, 2009, in Bandon at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Marvetta “Martie”; daughters, Peggy Owens of Portland, Bobbie Matheny of Burns and Patricia Lee of Bandon; brother, Airlee Owens of Bandon; sisters, Rosalie Meeks of Central Point and Wanda Sue Owens of Broadbent; daughter-in-law, Lisa Owens of Florence; grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle, Brittney and Mark; and great-grandchildren, Daisy, James and August.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, James and Johnathan; and grandson, James Johnson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Amling Schroeder Funeral Service, Bandon, 347-2907.
