Book recommendations
South Coast readers often have different reading preferences than those elsewhere. Here are the top-five sellers this week at Books By the Bay in North Bend, according to owner Trish Price:
Find out what medical examiner extraordinaire is up to in “The Scarpetta Factor” by Patricia Cornwell.
“World Almanac and Book of Facts 2010” is America’s bestselling reference book and the source for facts.
Nora Roberts, probably the world’s most famous romance author, has the second in her Bride Quartet series, “Bed of Roses,” out this month.
“Angel Time: The Songs of the Seraphim” by Anne Rice is a metaphysical thriller about angels and assassins.
Scott Westerfeld, author of the Uglies series, offers his newest, “Leviathan,” a retelling of World War I. “Very cool,” according to my teenage customers.
