Siuslaw River: Bright Chinook should continue to pulse in over the next few weeks. The cutthroat trout fishery is over for the season.
Coos County lakes: Stocked trout fishing has been excellent.
Coos River Basin: Trout fishing is closed until next spring. There will be a few new Chinook moving in soon.
Dig for clams this week right before sunset with the outgoing tide. Recreational crab harvest inside the bay has been excellent for those with boats.
Coquille River Basin: Trout fishing is closed until next spring. Chinook fishing at the mouth of Sevenmile Creek has been excellent.
The wild coho fishery runs through Nov. 30 or until a quota of 1,500 wild coho has been caught. Fishing for wild coho has slowed.
Diamond Lake: Diamond Lake is closed for angling through April 24, 2010.
Elk/Sixes River: Water conditions in both rivers should improve with rain.
Pacific Ocean and beaches: Dungeness crab harvest is closed until Nov. 30.
Rogue River, lower: Fishing is slow. Anglers may want to put away their Chinook and summer steelhead gear and switch to winter steelhead.
Tenmile Lakes: There still is a blue green algae advisory, according to the Oregon Department of Human Services.
Umpqua River mainstem: Small mouth fishing has slowed with cooler water temperatures.
Winchester Bay: Fishing for sturgeon is slow. Crabbing has been good lately.
SW Zone hunting: The South Coast Zone is closed through Nov. 25 for geese and Western Oregon rifle deer closed Friday.
