Book fair was a great success
I would like to take this time to say thank you to the staff, students, public and especially my volunteers at Myrtle Crest School for helping make the book fair another huge success here at Myrtle Crest again this year.

Speed gun could trigger tragedy
I just got back from town. It was a harrowing and terrifying experience. I was southbound on the McCullough Bridge, and as I reached the end of the bridge I saw something that spooked me badly. Right there, partially hidden by the concrete abutment, was a man aiming what looked like an AK-47 or an RPG, straight at me. His feet were braced for the recoil and the stance was textbook Army rifleman. He wore a turban. My heart leaped up into my throat. I did not have time to think or react, just enough time to start to panic.
