Soldiers will have a brighter holiday

Friday, November 06, 2009 |
Operation Santa of the U.S. Marine Corps Family Foundation has started its sixth year of sewing and collecting stuffers for Christmas stockings to be sent to our troops in the Middle East. To kick off our project, a rummage sale, an event of Dining for the Troops and donations at the North Bend Dollar Tree were held as fundraisers.
We thank community members for their wonderful support: Pony Village Mall for providing a space to collect and prepare items, North Bend Senior Center for providing the location, BiCoastal Media, Koos News and The World for coverage, all who donated items and to the public who attended. To Fisherman’s Grotto, Dave’s Pizza, The Lucky Dragon, Pancake Mill, The Mill Casino-Hotel and Dishner’s Restaurant. To the Dollar Tree management and clerks.
Operation Santa gives you all a big thank you for supporting our troops.
