Museum will host Veterans Day program

The Bandon Historical Society Museum will offer veteran talks and an exhibit in honor of Veterans Day.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum, 270 Fillmore and U.S. Highway 101 (by the downtown streetlight).
Several veterans will talk about their experiences, including Hugh McNeil, who was in the U.S. Navy in World War II and Korea; Leonard Price, an U.S. Marine who was in World War II, Korea and Vietnam; Gary Scorby and Don Lynam both in the U.S. Air Force. There also will be a reading from Linore Tiffany’s memoirs of her U.S. Army service during the attack of Pearl Harbor. The museum has a large military display on exhibit.

Business seeks families for roof giveaway event
Rich Rayburn Roofing is sponsoring a roof giveaway event. The Coos Bay business is asking community members to nominate a deserving family to have an IB Roof Systems single-ply membrane installed on their flat or low-pitched roof for Christmas.
Send in nominations by Dec. 1 to Rich Rayburn Roofing, 63265 Rice Road, Coos Bay, OR 97420.
This project is not a lottery or contest. Winners will be picked from the people who are nominated.
