H1N1 clinics scheduled for rural schools

Tuesday, November 03, 2009 |
Coos County Public Health, in collaboration with the school districts, has scheduled H1N1 immunization clinics this week for students in Powers and Myrtle Point.
The vaccine will be given free of charge to students whose parents have signed and returned consent forms to the schools. The vaccine will be in the form of the nose spray and some shots will be available for children who have asthma or other health problems that prevent them from using the spray.
In Powers, the clinics are scheduled Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the elementary school and from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. at the high school.
In Myrtle Point, the clinics are scheduled Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at the high school and from 1 to 3 p.m. at Myrtle Crest Elementary.
