The chairman and CEO of Medford-based Lithia, Sid DeBoer, said the company anticipates adding four or five dealerships per year and has the resources to pick up as many as 10.

Orchard workers lose minimum wage claim

MEDFORD (AP) — A federal judge has ruled that an Oregon orchard company did not break minimum wage laws by deducting money for food and housing from paychecks for seasonal workers.

The 12 workers who filed the class-action lawsuit against Bear Creek Orchards claimed it did not meet criteria for the deductions, causing their pay to fall below the Oregon minimum wage between 2004 and 2006.
