Port to discuss land deal for North Spit

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 |
Port officials have scheduled the second special meeting in as many weeks to discuss land deals on the North Spit.
The Oregon International Port of Coos Bay’s commissioners have two possible property transaction proposals to consider, said Martin Callery, director of communications and freight mobility.
The issues will be discussed during an executive session starting at 10 a.m., Friday, in the commission chambers, 125 Central Ave., Suite 230. The special meeting will take place immediately following the executive session.
The commissioners met Oct. 22 to discuss extending an option agreement with liquefied natural gas developer Jordan Cove Energy Project, but they opted to do nothing.
Callery said he couldn’t say what the proposals are since they will be discussed in executive session.
