Coos Bay police officers arrested a 19-year-old man on third-degree rape Friday night, after a man reported that a teenage girl was in a truck with an adult boyfriend.

At about 9:33 p.m., officers received the report on North Marple Street, stating that the boyfriend would not let the girl get out, a press release said.

Officers arrested Gregory Keller-Graham of Bandon on third-degree rape and second-degree custodial interference. He went to the Coos County jail, where he remained this morning on $50,000 bail.

I agree that if you do the crime you must do the time but did the mother want the boy arrested and if they had been together for over a year then the young man was of legal age when the relationship started. I believe that the police should have looked into the issue a little closer before charging the young man. Oh yeah and where were the girls parents when this was all taking place.

How old is the girl? Con Mother> If he was being abusive then he gets what he gets. The police are not ruining this man’s life. His decisions and behavior are what got him into this situation. Don’t you think the 19 year old knew it’s not ok to be with an underage girl? If you don’t want to do the time, then don’t do the crime. Somewhere along the way someone decided they didn’t care what the law says, and they were going to do this anyway. I bet they care now. What about the custodial interference part of this? Was her mother trying to get her away from him? Who called the police? There is a lot more to this. Why do people always want to blame the police when some adult gets in trouble for messing with children? Looks like he signed up for sexual predator registration to me.

I am angry that our police and our society think it is ok to ruin a young adult mans life with these type of accusations, As this young man and the teen girl have been dating for over a year, with the mother's consent
