State post for area Zonta chief

Genelle Hanken, a Coquille resident and past Zonta Coos Bay Club president, is the new Zonta Area 4 director who will oversee the Zonta Clubs in Oregon.
The election was held at the District 8 Conference in Walla Walla, Wash., Oct. 1-4. District 8 covers Zonta clubs in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Western Montana, British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. Attending the conference from the Coos Bay Club were members Terri Turi, the current District 8 governor, Judge Paula Bechtold, Sharon Lovie, Karen Gooding, Michaela Graham, Lindi Quinn, Jan Vigue and Trish Conyers.
Zonta International is a global service organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women through service and advocacy.
