Roblan joins 3 panels

Wednesday, September 16, 2009 |
State Rep. Arnie Roblan, D-Coos Bay, is taking part in an effort to improve Oregon’s schools.
Democratic House Speaker Dave Hunt named his Coos Bay colleague to the Educator Professional Development Commission, which the Oregon Legislature created this spring. It will provide statewide collaborative leadership in school improvement and technology for pre-kindergarten through post-secondary education, a press release said.
Roblan also will serve as a member of the Shipping Transport of Aquatic Invasive Species Task Force, which was created by a bill for which Roblan was the chief sponsor. It will focus on preventing the introduction of aquatic invasive species to Oregon’s waterways.
The speaker also re-appointed Roblan to the Western Legislative Forestry Task Force, a group of legislators from five western states working on forest policy issues.
