Care center to host fundraiser

Thursday, September 03, 2009 |
South Coast Hospice & Palliative Care will host its third-annual fundraiser, Texas Hold’em Tournament and Casino Night, in October. To get it started, the organization is seeking help.
Hospice is asking the community to help raise funds by sponsoring a table for $150, or donating gift certificates or gifts from businesses. All funds go to South Coast Hospice.
This year’s event will be from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Red Lion Hotel in Coos Bay. There will be lots of fun and prizes including up to $1,000 cash prize for the tournament. There will also be a silent auction, balloon raffle and prizes, including a 40-inch Samsung HD TV and vacation trip.
For more information about fundraising, call Shirley Liberante at 269-2986. To sign up for the tournament, ask for Shirley or Sisi. The Texas Hold’em entry is $40 and all other admission is $20.
