Crash leads to injury, arrest
A Coos Bay man remained in critical condition today after a crash Saturday night left him with broken bones in his neck and a teenager is in custody on charges related to the crash.

North Bend police credited The Mill Casino-Hotel's security officers with making possible Sunday's arrest of Jeffrey Sapp on child neglect charges.

Man dies in restroom
A Colorado man died in a public restroom at Middle Empire Lake on July 19, though police have no suspicions of foul play. Coos Bay police and firefighters responded to a report of a man down in the men's restroom. They found Danny Sloan, 62, of Colorado Springs, Colo. He died from medical problems, said police Chief Rodger Craddock.
