Airline needs to solve flight problems

Our great and new setup at the airport has sure screwed up a trip for my visitor. My son came to attend his sister's graduation from Southwestern Oregon Community College this month. His return flight was due to leave North Bend at 8:45 a.m. on June 17. We all awoke early to get to the airport in time for his departure and were informed that there was a problem and he was reshuffled to an 8 p.m. departure.

This plane arrived late at its next stop and he is left in the airport until another connection can be made for him. He did not arrive in Tampa, Fla., until 4 the next afternoon. This resulted in him losing a day's pay plus it messed up his employer's schedule and he went without proper rest for 36 hours and not one good meal in that time either.

This airline did not offer him any assistance at any time during his travel. It sure makes Eugene's airport seem like a better place to depart from and we will have this in mind the next time we have family come to visit.

I think you could have given Margaret a new $50 bill and she would complained about its crispness. Sorry about the experience, but everyone has to deal with it when traveling anywhere with any airline these days. Don't expect to get from Coos Bay to Tampa with zero days of padding. Its gonna bite you every time.

Maybe mommy should have went with him to make sure he got a nap & ate more than just the airplane peanuts.

Fire the mom & the airline!
