Oh, so you've noticed there are few more cars, trucks, pickups, RVS and motorcycles on the highways these days. OK, a lot more.

Here's a rundown of road construction to help you plan your travels through July 10.

Coos County

• Where: U.S. Highway 101 between mile posts 233.47 and 234.50, the $31 million North Bend McCullough Bridge rehabilitation continues.

What: Motorists should expect intermittent weeknight single-lane closures. The speed limit on the bridge is 35 mph. Pay attention to that speed limit. Police officers are nabbing speeders. A large number of workers can be expected on the east sidewalk, which is closed due to rail work.

Curry County

• Where: U.S. Highway 101 mile post 317 at Euchre Creek Bridge, a $4.4 million project about 10 miles north of Gold Beach at Ophir.

What: Intermittent weekday lane closures. Watch for trucks and heavy equipment north of the bridge. Euchre Creek access road at the north end of the bridge will be closed for three months starting as early as Friday, July 10. There's a detour route to get to Ophir. Turn onto the County Road 510 access road (U.S. 101, mile post 318.4).

• Where: U.S. Highway 101 mile post 337 Myers Creek Bridge rehabilitation about nine miles south of Gold Beach.

What: Traffic will be reduced to a single lane from Monday until October. A temporary traffic signal will be in operation at both ends of the bridge. Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes. The entrance to Myers Creek Road is closed and barricaded until October.

• Where: U.S. Highway 101 at Constitution Way, $2 million project between mile posts 357 and 362 at Brookings.

What: Constitution Way is closed until Sept. 2. Watch for detour signs.

Traffic heading between North Bank Chetco River Road and U.S. 101 (Chetco Avenue) will be detoured through Azalea Park Road, Pacific Avenue and Oak Street. 

Trucks traveling between North Bank Chetco River Road and Chetco Avenue are advised to use Railroad to Fifth and Hillside, depending on direction of travel.

Douglas County

• Where: U.S. Highway 101 mile post 198 to 210 from the Lane County line to Gardiner.

What: Paving will begin on the northbound slow lane, north of Gardiner, on Monday.  Motorists should expect lane closures throughout the week.

• Where: U.S. Highway 101 mile post  211 to 217, Reedsport to Winchester Bay.

What: Expect intermittent daytime and nighttime lane closures between the south entrance to Umpqua Lighthouse State Park (mile post 217) and the Umpqua River Bridge (mile post 211).

In the two-lane section of U.S. 101 between Winchester Bay and Reedsport High School, expect nighttime lane closures with delays up to 20 minutes from Monday to Friday morning, July 10.

• Where: State Highway 38 mile posts 5-16, Dean Creek to Scottsburg.

What: Expect lane closures and short delays for guardrail work.

• Where: State Highway 38 mile posts 10-13, Charlotte Creek and Mill Creek bridges.

What: Traffic will be controlled by flaggers next week. Watch for roadside work crews and construction equipment.

• Where: State Highway 38 mile posts 32-38, Elkton Slide-Hancock Mountain Road.

What: Expect intermittent weekday lane closures and brief delays.

• Where: State Highway 38 mile posts 51-57, Rock Creek to I-5 paving between Drain and Interstate 5.

What: Expect intermittent lane closures and minor delays next week.
