North Bend pair arrested in attempted change machine theft

Officers arrested a North Bend man and woman Wednesday after someone tried to steal a change machine at Moe's Super Lube in North Bend.
A caller reported two people were trying to rip the outdoor change machine out of the wall at about 8 a.m. Officers arrested Michael Edwards, 31, and Jessica Brewer, 21, on charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit theft, burglary and criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.
They were taken to the Coos County jail, where Edwards was being held on no bail this morning on a probation violation. Brewer was released on her own recognizance Wednesday.
