Police went to a home in the 1400 block of Hawthorne Avenue at about 1 a.m. and arrested David J. Simmons, 29, on a charge of felony fourth-degree domestic assault. He was taken to the Reedsport jail, where he was being held this morning on $50,000 bail and awaiting transfer to the Douglas County jail.
