Cafe Cardinal served up success
Monday, June 29, 2009 10:55 AM PDT
A standing ovation to the individuals and businesses that made Cardinal's second-annual Cafe Cardinal a success. More than 600 lunches were served for a Cure for Cancer and 288 lunches were delivered, compliments of Yellow Cab.
Folks who joined Cardinal's staff for lunch enjoyed live music by The Worn Out Frets under the big tent provided by Big Tent Rents & Events, while Alternative Actions Massage Therapy provided chair massage and donated proceeds. KCBY-TV partnered for outstanding ads under the direction of Ken Croes and Sonya Flowers. Bryson Hampel at Bullseye Custom Meats offered sandwich fixings at cost and donated labor and expertise. The Charleston Fire Department loaned, delivered and set-up their magic grills and utensils.
Additional support came from: Arctic Ice, Little Caesar's, City Subs, Red Lion, Cash & Carry, Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Steve Kettner at Sysco and Barry from Pony Village Mall.
Because of the terrific response, we look forward to seeing you next year at the third-annual Cafe Cardinal - Good Food for a Great Cause.
