SHN Consulting Engineers & Geologists, Inc. is pleased to announce that Walter White, PLS is now a certified federal surveyor.
The CFedS program, which has been approved by the U.S. secretary of the interior, was designed specifically to enhance the level of knowledge and expertise in the professional land surveying community for survey work performed on federal lands and especially on Indian trust lands. To earn the CFedS designation, professional land surveyors must complete approximately 120 hours of course materials prepared by the BLM’s National Training Center, in Phoenix, Ariz., and pass the certification examination.
Coos Bay’s Regional Manager Steve Donovan, PE commented in a press release, “SHN is pleased with Walter’s achievement and the advancement of his career as a surveyor. Among other services, with this certification SHN will be able to execute federal authority surveys for transferring property from private or public ownership into trust status and perform the commercial activities of boundary surveying and related services to federal surveying standards as established by the BLM.”
