Tuesday, June 23, 2009 |
Oregon State Police arrested a Coos Bay man and North Bend woman Saturday evening on drug and alcohol-related charges.
Troopers stopped a 1989 Ford Taurus on Libby Lane after it swerved over the center line several times, police said. During a consent search of the vehicle, police found open containers of alcohol, a pipe with burnt marijuana, and a baggy and spoon with meth residue.
They charged the driver, Paul Brewer, 29, with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless endangering, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, driving uninsured and having an open container. They charged Brewer's passenger, Angela Ramberg, 39, with possession of meth and an open container. Both Brewer and Ramberg went to Coos Bay Police Department, where they were cited and released.
