Coos Bay woman arrested on prescription-related charge
Officers arrested a Coos Bay woman Friday after pharmacists at the North Bend Bi-Mart said she gave them a tampered drug prescription. Officers charged Laurie A. Frisch, 53, with tampering with drug records and attempted possession of a schedule-3 controlled substance. She was taken to Coos County jail, where she was released on Friday on her own recognizance.

Coos Bay man arrested on assault-related charges
Officers arrested a Coos Bay man Monday evening after someone called in an assault.

Crash sends Bandon woman to hospital
Medics took a Bandon woman to the hospital Saturday following a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 101 near the intersection with state Highway 42. A 1997 Saturn was southbound in the right lane when it veered onto the shoulder, swung across the road and crashed into a guardrail on the left side of the highway. The driver, Vina Campbell, 35, suffered injuries, and medics took her to Bay Area Hospital. A hospital spokesman said Bay Area Hospital had no record of treating Campbell. The vehicle was towed.

OSP: 2 drug-related arrests
Oregon State Police arrested a Coos Bay man and North Bend woman Saturday evening on drug and alcohol-related charges.

Reedsport police arrest boy on assault charge
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy on a fourth-degree assault charge Friday, after a neighbor called to report a fight at 830 Bellevue Drive. They sent the boy to the Douglas County Juvenile Department in Roseburg.

Police arrest Coos Bay man on kidnapping-related charges
Officers arrested a Coos Bay man Monday after a woman called in what she thought was suspicious behavior.
