Crash sends pair to hospital

Monday, June 22, 2009 |
A Coos Bay man and woman went to Bay Area Hospital on Sunday night after suffering minor injuries in an accident in North Bend.
At about 10:45 p.m., a 2000 Honda Civic, driven by 26-year-old
Alexander Rich, and a 1999 Chevrolet pickup, driven by 22-year-old Haley Wilson of Coquille, collided near the intersection of Sherman and Virginia avenues.
Rich, a staff writer with The World, and passenger Michelle Brown, 27, went to the hospital, where they were treated and released.
Police officers cited Wilson on failure to obey a traffic control device.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
