Police arrest one on assault, trespassing charges

Officers arrested a 42-year-old man this morning after a woman called police saying her brother was intoxicated and violent.
At about 2:30 a.m., officers went to the Pacific Empire Hotel, 155 S. Empire Boulevard, after the woman reported her brother was in her room and belligerent, according to the Coos Bay police log.
Officers arrested Glen Sears on charges of fourth-degree domestic assault and first-degree criminal trespassing. He was taken to the Coos County jail, where he was being held this morning on $15,000 bail.
