Anti-abortion killers rely on twisted logic

The most recent murder of an abortion doctor does not surprise me in the least. The anti-abortion groups have been killing and blowing up clinics for years.

This latest assassination is just one more example of what happens when people become so blindly brainwashed into a twisted movement that anything can and does become rationalized with one poor excuse after another. As these nuts see it, they are simply doing the Lord’s work by killing any doctor or clinic worker who is performing their job under the law.

The thing that amazes me the most is their twisted take on the whole issue of unwanted babies. They seem to oppose any form of sex education or birth control, yet refuse to want society to take care of all these babies while at the same time want to kill the doctors who are trying to do their jobs.

If these radical right-wing religious fanatics don’t want doctors to perform abortions and they don’t want their children educated about sex, nor do they want their children to be given protection, then why don’t all these so called Christians line up and start adopting and taking care of the unwanted, mentally handicapped, deformed and drug-addicted children? That would solve the problem, but that would put them in the position of putting their life and actions where their mouth or words are.

No one wants an abortion and to think that killing the doctors and health workers is doing the work of God, these people are truly sick. I hope the government cracks down and starts putting these wackos in prison as fast as they can before they decide to kill other people they don’t like, other than doctors. Society cannot stand for such a twisted hateful logic that these people preach.

I seem to remember the reason this all started in the first place. Coat hanger abortions in alleyways, butchering women for illegal profit. I don’t believe the guy that killed the doctor was pro anything, let alone life. Finger pointers, again get a life. Get off your high horses and get real. 60,000 unwanted children might be a tragedy too. I would like to know how many children pro lifers have adopted. How many children did you adopt Airlee? Or are you just pointing fingers because your opinion is the only one that counts. Who accepted the holocaust? WW2 didn't happen? Might want to check your history.

Coquillian wrote on Jun 19, 2009 7:15 PM:

Airlee, I am clear on what you think. But just don't force your beliefs on me. I am not for late term abortion unless the baby is dead, or the mother is in danger. But I don't like the idea of everyone sitting in judgement of those who do believe in abortion. Again, if you don't like them, don't cause or get one. Simple. And if you think making them illegal works, remember prohibition. What do you think of the prolife terrorists that kill workers at abortion clinics? Is that OK with you?

poloele wrote on Jun 18, 2009 4:13 PM:

always nice to have a welfare ca\se worker with deep rooted right wing opinions. So, how many women did you keep from having abortions by not providing information?
Most of those pro-lifers do not support welfare benefits to women who continue to mindlessly breed and they also wouldn't want to foot the bill for the raising of any such kids born into such a mess. I support federal funding for birth control and limited federal funding for abortions as it does not make sense to me the stand that pro-lifers take on this issue. They do seem to care about the fetus but once it's here, don't care if it's not taken care of.

Airlee..I agree 100% The self-righteousness runs deep on BOTH sides of the fence on this issue.

Mochamutt: Being pro-life and abhoring violence is not contradictory. Claiming to be opposed to violence and accepting or advocating abortion is contradictory.

Mochamutt wrote on Jun 16, 2009 2:14 PM:

Dont make the mistake of lumping all pro-lifers with these nutbags that kill doctors...it is entirely possible to be pro life and abhor senseless violence....

Thank you Roger for your insightful article. Glad to see there are other rational people out there in our hypocritical world.

Just Me wrote on Jun 16, 2009 8:57 AM:

I am Pro-Life, along with that comes the belief the killing of this abortion Dr. was wrong. Should never had happened. I don't understand Coquillians comment about the couple with the very premature baby that didn't want extreme measures taken, what has that got to do with abortion? The baby was born, theirs and their decision to do as they thought was right for their baby. If they didn't want to adopt it out that is their choice.

Gary wrote on Jun 16, 2009 8:47 AM:

Why is the Doctor any different than the man that murdered him? Just because what the Dr. did was legal according to our perverted laws still make it right? Although I don't condone murdering the Dr. for all the murdering he did. I believe it should be classified as POST abortion. Babies are easy prey, next it will be old people. What age will they decide on to abort the elderly is the question.

airlee wrote on Jun 15, 2009 8:25 PM:

Coquillian: Pulling the body of a thriveable fetus out of its mother's womb just far enough to insert a suction device to remove the baby's brain so it can be delivered dead is murder. I oppose murder.

The analogy to the holocaust is simply that good people did nothing to stop the systematic genocide of millions of people. The same thing is happening in our society. People simply sit by while some doctors commit murder.

Is that perhaps a little clearer to you now?

Coquillian wrote on Jun 15, 2009 4:12 PM:

AIRLEE you only saw a sliver of society, and it was the lowest end of it. I know a couple who had a baby that was very premature. They did not want any extraordinary measures taken. One of the nurses called the right to lifers, and they came to protest that. A couple who wanted a child, but were making their own choice based on the fact that the baby was born way too early. Do none of us have any rights? Or do we only have them if we agree with you? And what do you mean about "accepting" the Holocaust? And why do pro-lifers always drag that in there? I don't really care why a woman gets an abortion, that is not my business nor is it yours.

Steve wrote on Jun 15, 2009 10:16 AM:

Airlee I think you make more sense than Kate, but I have to agree these nuts are killers. Of course I also think a late term abortion for birth control is murder.

airlee wrote on Jun 14, 2009 8:28 PM:

The doctor, reportedly, performed 60,000 abortions, many of them late term abortions, and many without any good reason for doing so. I worked as a Welfare Caseworker for 21 years and I never had a client request an abortion for any other reason than simply to get rid of a baby the person did not want. It would have seemed to me that often times getting pregnant was simply an irresponsible act and then an abortion followed because of that irresponsibility.

Quite frankly I never really understood how the holocaust could come to be accepted by a nation of people until the US legalized abortion. And then I understood.
