Coos Bay brush disposal fee waived through Tuesday

Coos County is accepting brush and clean wood at the Beaver Hill disposal site through Tuesday. Brush fees will be waived for this period. A donation of canned food for local food banks is suggested.
Accepted items
• Residential shrub/tree trimmings up to 24 inches in diameter
• Orchard tree trimmings
• Small stumps up to 24 inches in diameter (must be free of dirt, sand and rock)
• Woody biomass from land clearing
• Grapevines (3- to 4-foot lengths)
• Bamboo
• Logging slash
• Small-diameter logs
• Wood paneling and shakes
• Lumber, plywood and fiberboard (including OSB ply board)
• Clean demolition wood
• Wood pallets and wooden crates
• Wooden picnic tables and patio furniture
• Wooden fence boards and posts (nails are OK, no wire).
Not accepted
• Noxious weeds (Scotch broom, gorse, etc.)
• Sheet rock
• Creosote-, osmose- or other treated woods
• Asphalt shingles
• Rolled roofing
• Plastic decking
• Vinyl-coated material
• Acoustical tiles
• Concrete shakes
• Sod and dirt
Household garbage, furniture, appliances, tires or construction debris must be separated. The fees for these items will not be waived during the brush collection event.
