Medics took a Coos Bay woman and her child to a hospital Monday following a two-vehicle accident in Coquille.
A Dodge Stratus had stopped at the intersection of Birch and Second streets when a Ford Excursion hit it from behind, a Coquille police spokeswoman said. The driver of the Dodge, Frankiee Boyle, 20, and a child who was in a car seat, were taken to Coquille Valley Hospital. A hospital spokeswoman said Boyle was treated and released. No information was available about the child.
Police cited the Ford driver, Pamela Klein, 47, of Myrtle Point on a charge of careless driving.
