Chase leads to arrest
Police arrested a North Bend man Monday on several charges after a scuffle with police.

ATV rider injured
Medics took a Texas man to the hospital Monday following an all-terrain vehicle accident in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area near Lakeside.

Driver survives crash into creek
Curry County deputies rescued a 92-year-old man who was trapped in his vehicle after it careened off a road and into Lobster Creek in the Rogue River watershed northeast of Gold Beach on Monday night.

Coos Bay man arrested on drug charges
Officers responded to 360 S. Cammann St. on Monday, after receiving a call from Parole & Probation requesting assistance. They arrested James E. Michael, 43, of Coos Bay on charges of possession, delivery and manufacturing a schedule-2 controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, endangering the welfare of a minor and a probation violation. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was being held this morning without bail.

Crash hurts one
A Coos Bay teenager was injured in a two-car accident Monday in a North Bend parking lot.
