LAKEVIEW (AP) - A minimum security prison in Southern Oregon may close due to state budget cuts.
The Warner Creek Correctional Facility employs more than 100 people in Lakeview, just north of the California border.
Oregon Department of Corrections officials say they have to prepare for the possibility of a 30 percent budget cut that would eliminate Warner Creek and four other minimum-security prisons.
The 400-bed minimum-security prison for men opened in August 2005.
