A $1,000 grand prize is being offered in a free poetry contest sponsored by Golden Poets Guild. There are 50 prizes in all totaling $5,000.

To enter, send one poem of 21 lines or less to Free Poetry Contest, 1600 31st St. SE, Rio Rancho, N.M. 87124; or enter online at www.freecontest.com. The deadline is May 31.

Poems may be written on any subject, using any style.

Make sure the author’s name and address appears on the page with the poem.
