Concert band is practicing for a show next week

The Bay Area Concert Band's next concert is set for Thursday. The concert is to begin at 7:30 p.m., and will be held at the North Bend Presbyterian Church. The event is free of charge, but the band accepts donations toward music scholarships for SOCC students.
The band, led by conductor Mark Allen, includes community members, Southwestern Oregon Community College students and referred high school students. Musicians meet from 7:30 to 9 p.m. every Thursday in the Sunset Middle School band room. Instrumentalists who play the French horn, bassoon, tenor saxophone, flute oboe and percussion are wanted.
