Police recover vehicle

Oregon State Police troopers are investigating the theft of a car, which was discovered Wednesday on a sand road at Bastendorff Beach near Charleston.
At about 3:30 p.m., a 1987 Honda Civic was found on the road near the southwest corner of the beach's south jetty parking lot. The person who reported the abandoned Honda saw someone drive it recklessly in the area before leaving it, an OSP press release said. Police took suspect description and the case remains under investigation. The owner of the vehicle removed it from the scene.
