Presentation Saturday includes tidepool walk

Shoreline Education for Awareness will hold the last seminar, Tidepooling, of the 2009 Winter Seminar Series on Saturday.

Presenter is Katie Bennett is finishing her work on a master's degree in marine biology at Oregon Institute of Marine Biology.

The format of this seminar has been dictated by the ocean's tides.  Attendees will meet at Sunset Bay State Park boat launch ramp at 8:30 a.m. for a 9 a.m. tidepool walk and following that, will meet at the Boathouse Auditorium of Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston for a power point presentation.  There will also be tidepool animals available for inspection.

The seminars are free to members of SEA. The cost to others is $5 per person.  Yearly membership is available for $20 individual; $35 for a family of two or more, children under 17 free. The catered lunch costs $6 per person and can be ordered between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
