“Seascape” will be presented at Theatre 101, 1320 Oregon Ave., in Port Orford beginning Friday, May 1, and running through May 17. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1975 and a Tony for best revival in 2005, “Seascape” is a modern tragedy with elements of fantasy, comedy, satire and absurdism, a press release said.

The play follows Charlie (Bob Craig) and Nancy (Tere Tronson), an American couple on the verge retirement, who are having problems deciding how to spend their remaining years. They are discussing their retirement on a beach when they are approached by a pair of man-size lizards, Leslie (John Jeronimo) and Sarah (Susie Kohler), who ask the couple to explain humanity. Leslie and Sarah have evolved to such a degree that they no longer feel at home in the sea and are compelled to seek life on land. Through their discussions, they all learn things about themselves as well as each other, and look to the future with new eyes.

Show times are 6:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1:30 p.m. Sundays, May 10 and 17. Tickets are $10.
