Recall adds to Coos County stagnation

Monday, April 27, 2009 |
As a resident of Coos County for the past 20 years, I am amazed at the costly traumas we seem to create. New businesses, experienced, professional personnel have literally been run out of the county.
I have great admiration for the people with the fortitude to offer their lives to public service and the courage to make decisions knowing they will be unpopular.
Three Coos County commissioners have stood behind their controversial decisions. How can one commissioner have caused all the layoffs and "ills" of Coos County? County taxpayers, as well as the personal backers of this recall, will feel the consequences of this effort in our already depleted pocketbooks.
Shame on us. We have created another costly trauma. More money wasted as we watch the economic atmosphere of Coos County continue to stagnate.
