Everett and Eileen Baysinger, of Coos Bay, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 17, 2009, with their children and spouses at the Hilltop House in North Bend. The following day a large surprise family gathering was held at Blossom Gulch Elementary in Coos Bay.

Everett and Eileen met at the Assembly of God Church in Bunker Hill. They got to know each other when Everett was portraying Joseph in a church play and Eileen was portraying Mary. They were married April 17, 1959.

The couple has four children, Steven Baysinger, Suzan (Mike) Wren, Nadene (Gary) Bennetts and David Baysinger; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

They are both retired. Everett worked in construction all his life and Eileen retired in January 2007 after 31 years from the Bay Area Hospital.
