Burglars broke into a North Bend smoke shop and stole more than $500 of merchandise early today.

Police went to a call of a burglar alarm at Nex-Dor, 2080 Public Square Court at about 1:20 a.m., according to the North Bend police log.  No one was in the area when officers arrived.

"Whoever did it got away and was gone," a North Bend dispatcher said this morning.

Police did not know what items were taken. Officers took a report for second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief. No one answered calls to the store this morning and no further information was available by press time.

Here is the perfect example of why the federal tax on cigarettes does'nt work. I realize that no details were availiable but I bet smokes were involved. The attempt to control people by having a government that dictates peoples lifestyles is wrong. Anational heath care program is a step away from communism. One day taxpayers will rise up and reclaim their government.
