All of us that "work" for AARP here on the coast are volunteers. If someone told you that you are not disabled if you drive it only had to do with taxes not your true disability. They were not correct or else you misunderstood. Also... they are just a volunteer like the rest of us....not a "top person".

You have no clue what you are talking about. If what you are saying is true then they pulled the wool over your eyes and are sitting back and laughing at you. I am an insurance agent and AARP has nothing to do with SS or disibility in the least. Educate yourself.

I was there also and they only seemed to be going fast because WE WERE NOT MOVING. I think wishing death to anyone is reflective of a cruel personality.
Although I agree with you that a full helmet provides more protection, there is no need to be smug about it.
ANDY: The accident was on Saturday.

Your comment was rediculous. My husband recieves ss for a joint replacement which made it impossible for him to perform his line of work. That has nothing to do with his ability to drive. I hope you never fall victim to anything that may make it impossible for you to do your job. Should you then have to lose your license and independance as well? Get a life.

If someone dies as a direct result of injuries, please state that they were fatally wounded, not "hurt." It is easier to keep track of something like that, when there are multiple (and varied degrees of) injuries.
Maybe I'm just seeing the forest for the trees, but having more clarity and consistency in one's writing makes for an easier-to-digest article.
