It's a good time to criticize Obama

Just because Obama was elected president doesn’t mean many citizens can’t or shouldn’t disagree with him and his policies. Ability to express dissent is essential for freedom.

My expression was a bumper sticker that displayed the following sentiment regarding Obama’s rise to power, “One Big A** Mistake, America.”

The display of this information on the rear window of my truck generated the following incident.

After exiting the post office in Coos Bay and walking toward my truck, I heard someone yelling. Turns out, I was the recipient of the wrath. Something was being uttered by my assailant regarding my intelligence and how could I disparage our new leader after only 60 days of his presidency. I realized I was being demeaned by a stranger who had no knowledge of who I was personally other than I was wearing a John McCain/Sarah Palin hat and there was a U.S. Navy sticker displayed on the other window.

Was that enough motivation to verbally attack me?

This experience demonstrates exactly how liberals are dealing with their newly found power within the political system of our country. They won the election and control the House and the Senate. Therefore, they can do and say whatever they want no mater how unrealistic or detrimental.

My thinking and the position of millions of other Americans is that the Obama Administration is a farce. Their policies are pure Marxist Socialism ideology, which has never been successful throughout the history of the world. We, as a country, are going massively in debt to a level never before even imagined. To ignore the dilemma about who is going to pay for this government spending fiasco takes the adage “Robbing Peter to pay Paul” to exponential levels.

If we shouldn’t express dissent now, at the beginning of Obama’s push toward Socialism, when should we? After we become like France, Russia or Venezuela?

The Democrats have blamed George W. Bush for everything imaginable for years. Sometimes justifiably so, he made mistakes. But the state of our beleaguered economy is Obama’s baby now and we are witnessing something that is more like a carnival dog and pony show than a solution-related administration.

This incident has made me even more adamant to take up the challenge and display more bumper stickers that will infuriate Liberals.

Wake up America.
